Abstract Virtual worlds are a part of adolescents’ everyday lives. The internet, with its endless possibilities, presents somewhat of a challenge for adolescents, however, because boundaries can so easily be crossed and violence can sometimes be the consequence. A prevention program could promote media competency for adolescents. The goal of the project is to promote positive social, cognitive and personal competencies, as well as media competency and sensorimotor functions in participants, and lastly, to work preventatively against violence.
